Apply LOTO in this part of installation to avoid electrical shock hazard.


Any error occurs during connection phase will leads to permanent damage in Inspector.


  • Check the Main Panel of the site and review its schematic. Identify the mains lines and circuit breaker for UPS lines and circuit breaker for Mains. Also check Neutral and Earth as show
  • We will use six one pole miniature circuit breakers (MCB) with 1 A rating or two three poles MCB with 1A rating


The MCB will be used to connect the three lines for UPS L1, L2 and L3 from the sites panel to inspector in THREE PHASE CONNECTION. The other MCB will be used to connect line(s) of Main supply to Inspector.



To avoid system main circuit breaker from tripping you must adjust earth leakage relay (ELR) limits to be suitable for the system.


If the installation is done before the Earth Leakage system, Earth HAS to be connected correctly to avoid Shock Hazard.


If the installation is done after the Earth Leakage, the Earth Leakage device needs to be adjusted to accommodate for the extra current that will be induced. Please Review Imagining modality specifications on this issue.

  • Make sure the following steps are applied before installation:
    1. In case if we have full system UPS:
      • Switch off the System (CT/MR/X-RAY /…)
      • Switch off PDB circuit breakers
      • Switch off UPS totally (LOAD OFF)
      • Switch of main Utility power for UPS and any other part of the system
      • Apply LOTO kit for Utility PDB and for UPS
      • Apply Zero energy verification steps: Using DVM tools to measure Zero voltage at two locations stage {PDB for UPS, PDB for the system}
      • Make sure that system is not powering ON (Press Push button of UPS, Press Push button of System)
    1. In case if there is NO full system UPS:
      • Switch off the System (CT/MR/X-RAY /…)
      • Switch off PDB circuit breakers
      • Switch of main Utility power and for other part of the system
      • Apply LOTO kit for Utility PDB and for UPS
      • Apply Zero energy verification steps: Using DVM tools to measure Zero voltage at two locations stage {PDB for UPS, PDB for the system}      
      • Make sure that system is not powering ON (Press Push button of UPS, Press Push button of System)


  • Two cables will be used to connect between Inspector and the panel as show:
    • First: A cable containing five cores, three cores of them for UPS lines, one core for Earth and one core for Neutral of UPS. The thickness of the wires is 1.5mm, Fork terminals must be connected to the cable from Inspector side. Ring terminals must be connected to the cable form the panel side
    • Second: A cable containing five cores, three wires of them for Mains lines (before UPS) and one wire for Neutral. The fifth core not connected. The thickness of the wires is 1.5mm. Fork terminals must be connected to the cable from Inspector side. Ring terminals must be connected to the cable form the panel side
