Maintenance & Post Installation Troubleshooting Process
Before installing Inspector, look at the main board carefully whether it has any defects or missing components especially the fuse and the thermal resistance due to any hazards of shipping so that you guarantee a perfect installation
Before connecting Main lines and/or UPS lines, test that Inspector unit is working using the external DC adapter as shown in Software Configurations chapter
The DC adapter is only used for Inspector unit configuration and is not used for normal operation
Disconnect the DC adapter after completing needed configurations as shown in Software Configurationschapter
For your safety, don’t connect Main lines and/or UPS lines directly, you have to use circuit breakers for Mains and UPS connection
For your safety, check any wrong line connections and never swap neutral and lines proper connections
Do not apply power to the unit until the wiring is completed and cover is replaced
Installation must be performed by an electrician, in accordance with all local and national codes
For line-to-line connection, you have to connect between AC_IN and PH_E to avoid on-board power supply explosion and/or possible injury
Check that the cables diameter and specs meet installation requirements, also make sure you have the needed tools to install Inspector
After installing Inspector and just before turning the power button on, make sure that one of (X)MB’s Ethernet cables is not mixed with the internet cable in RJ connectors also make sure that the current coil connected to CMB and responsible for measuring Earth current has the conversion value of (1A/0.1V)
Press the power button in order to run your system and should work as following:
First, the three indication LED’s on Inspector (running, online and alarm) should blink for less than 5 seconds as an indication of system self-check
Running LED should be ON after that
CMB, HCMU and SMB online LED should be ON and Alarm LED should be OFF
BB Router LEDs (power, internet and Ethernet connection) should be ON in an average time of 3 minutes
In an average time of 4 minutes, the online LED should be ON as well
If any other situation happens than the normal situation, then you will have to troubleshoot and know the problem. Here are the situations you may found and need to troubleshoot
If Inspector’s power button is ON and only the (running and online LED’s) were blinking that means Inspector is in the phase of downloading a new firmware from the server and there is no communication between (X) MB’s and Inspector, so (X) MB’s online LED will blink too
If the system is running but one of the (X) MB’s online LED is blinking, then check the Ethernet link cable connecting between Inspector and (X) MB
If the CMB Alarm LED is blinking, then there is one of two situations
Current Coil is not connected to one of the cables of the three phase or all of them or the current withdrawn in the cables is zero
Ground current is higher than 250 mA
If the HCMU Alarm LED is blinking, then the situation is that one of the current coils is not connected to its helium compressor current cable or all of them or the current withdrawn is zero
If the BB router internet LED is not ON, then check if the internet USB stick is valid or not
If the BB router Ethernet connection LED is not ON, then the Ethernet cable between Inspector and the router is damaged
