Tripping measurement is used to evaluate network parameters by applying a test that may momentarily affect the system.

The measurement process takes approximately 40 seconds and provides the following parameters:

Measured Parameters:

  • Loop Impedance
  • Earth Resistance

Measurement Behavior:

    • The measurement may cause a temporary disturbance in the system.
    • Under certain conditions, it may trigger protection devices (trip).
    • This mode applies a stronger test signal compared to non-tripping mode.

Warning:

  • This test may cause tripping of protection devices.
  • It should be used with caution, especially in live systems.
